Postoperative pain management after scoliosis surgery
Optimal pain relief for a quick recovery

Postoperative pain management after scoliosis surgery plays a crucial role in ensuring patient comfort and recovery. At our clinic, we attach great importance to offering our patients comprehensive and effective pain treatment to support their recovery and make their stay as comfortable as possible. Below we would like to introduce some of the pain management options we offer after scoliosis surgery:

Postoperative pain management

Multimodal pain therapy

Our approach to postoperative pain management is based on a multimodal concept that combines different techniques and medications to achieve effective pain relief. This includes the use of analgesics (pain relievers), anti-inflammatory medications, local anesthetics, as well as non-drug therapies such as physical therapy, acupuncture, and relaxation techniques.

Spinal catheter

EAn effective method for pain relief after scoliosis surgery is to place a spinal catheter. This catheter is placed in the spinal canal during the procedure and allows for the continuous administration of local anesthetics or other pain-relieving medications. By directly delivering medication in close proximity to the spinal cord, postoperative pain can be effectively controlled, resulting in faster recovery and improved comfort for the patient.

Patient-specific therapy plans

Every patient has different needs and pain sensitivities. For this reason, we create an individual therapy plan for each patient based on their specific needs and medical history. Our team of anesthesiologists, pain therapists and nursing staff work closely together to ensure that the therapy plan is optimally tailored to the patient's needs.

Continuous monitoring and adjustment

The SchPain therapy is continuously monitored and adjusted as necessary to ensure optimal pain relief with minimal side effects. Our team is in close contact with the patient to receive feedback and adjust the therapy plan accordingly.

Medical therapy

In addition, we offer a variety of medication pain management options to ensure individually tailored treatment. This may include administering pain medications such as analgesics, anti-inflammatory medications, or muscle relaxants. Our experienced anesthesiologists and doctors work closely with each patient to choose the most appropriate drug therapy and adjust dosage accordingly.

Early mobilization and rehabilitation

Effective pain management is crucial to enable early mobilization and rehabilitation after scoliosis surgery. By effectively controlling pain, we can help our patients recover faster and regain functional independence.

If you have any questions about postoperative pain therapy or treatment options, we will be happy to help you. Contact us to arrange a consultation appointment.
