Postoperative care after scoliosis surgery:Comprehensive support for a successful recovery

After scoliosis surgery, careful and individualized postoperative care is crucial to promote our patients' recovery and ensure their health and well-being. At our clinic, we attach great importance to comprehensive, high-quality postoperative care that meets the individual needs of each patient. Below we would like to give you an insight into our postoperative care:

Postoperative care after scoliosis surgery

ICU monitoring

Immediately after scoliosis surgery, our patients are taken to the intensive care unit for monitoring and intensive care. Here, highly qualified nursing staff and doctors are available around the clock to offer patients intensive and specialized care. By strictly monitoring vital functions and early detection of possible complications, we ensure the safety and stability of our patients during the critical phase immediately after surgery.

Psychological support and pastoral care

We recognize that scoliosis surgery can be not only physically demanding, but also emotionally demanding. We therefore also offer our patients psychological support and pastoral care to help them cope with the emotional impact of the operation. Our qualified psychologists and pastors are available to help patients process their feelings, fears and worries and accompany them on the path to recovery.

Postoperative care

After the intensive care phase, patients are transferred to the general ward, where they continue to be cared for by an experienced and compassionate nursing team. Our caregivers are specially trained to assist the patient with all aspects of recovery, including wound care, pain control, mobility promotion and medication administration. They are always available to patients to meet their needs and help them overcome post-surgery challenges.

Continuous monitoring and follow-up care

Postoperative care does not end with discharge from the hospital. We provide our patients with ongoing monitoring and follow-up care to ensure they recover well and achieve the best possible results. Our physicians and nurses remain available to patients after discharge to answer questions, address concerns, and support continued recovery.

Rapid response to patient needs

Our goal is to ensure the comfort and well-being of our patients at all times. Therefore, we respond quickly to all of our patients' needs and concerns, be it adjusting pain medication, arranging family visits, or providing additional support to manage the recovery process.

Support with home care

Our social services are available to our patients and their families throughout the recovery process. Our social workers will help to address the challenges post-hospitalization and assist in arranging further care and support if required. Our social workers will help develop an individualized aftercare plan tailored to each patient's needs.

If you have any questions about postoperative care or treatment options, we will be happy to help you. Contact us to arrange a consultation appointment.
