FAQ

Frequently asked questions about scoliosis, treatment options and the center's approach

1. What is scoliosis?

Scoliosis is a lateral curvature of the spine that usually occurs during growth. It may be a mild curvature that does not require intervention or a more serious curvature that should be treated.

2. What treatment options are there?

Our scoliosis treatment center offers a wide range of treatment options, including conservative (non-surgical) and surgical approaches. Conservative options include physical therapy exercises, bracing treatments, and pain management. In severe or progressive cases, surgery may be required to correct the curvature.

3. How is Brechte therapy selected?

The choice of treatment option depends on various factors, including the extent of the curvature, the patient's age, progression of the curvature, and general health. Our experienced spine specialists will conduct a thorough evaluation and create an individualized treatment plan based on each patient's specific needs and goals.

4. How does scoliosis surgery work?

Scoliosis surgery is carefully planned and performed to correct the curvature of the spine. We use the most modern techniques to ensure the shortest possible recovery times. The detailed surgical procedure is discussed in detail with the patient before the operation.

5. What are the risks and side effects of scoliosis treatment?

As with any medical treatment, there are risks and side effects. However, these are discussed in detail with our patients in order to fully understand the entire treatment. This ensures the best possible results are achieved during scoliosis treatment.

6. How long does recovery take after treatment?

Recovery time may vary depending on the type of treatment. With conservative treatments, recovery after completion of therapy is short, while a longer recovery period may be required after scoliosis surgery. Our team will support you throughout the recovery process and ensure you receive the right aftercare.

7. Are scoliosis treatments covered by all health insurance companies?

Yes, in Germany, scoliosis treatments are covered by all health insurance companies. Our team will be happy to support you with all billing and insurance questions and ensure that you can take advantage of all the services available.
